Baharat Coffee – the taste of the Middle East
A lot of people do not know what this is and I have to admit that I have learned about this special coffee flavour only recently.
But what is “Baharat”, what does it mean? Baharat is a Middle Eastern spice blend. The word baharat itself means “spices” and which spices are used for this mixture can vary from region to region. These spices are often found in a lot of dishes like lamb, or chicken, but they are also used to spruce up the coffee.
The general mix of spices usually contains: black pepper, cumin seeds, cloves, cinnamon, coriander seeds, cardamom pots, nutmeg and paprika. But, as I said earlier, it can vary from region to region. Turmeric, saffron and ginger are also added quite often.
Our Baharat Coffee blend taste aromatic, we found it absolutely delicious with added milk, but each to their own.
For you to be able to make a good Arabic coffee or Moccha, we have added these grinding options as well.
