Kachalú – An organic coffee of exceptionally high quality.
In 1999 there was a group of 14 coffee farmers who started to work together with the aim of producing sustainable and eco-friendly coffee. They called themselves Kachalú, which they interpreted as “Hope”.
Hope that they would be able to continue their work albeit the worldwide coffee crisis.
Their plantations are surrounded by the rainforest, a warm and humid climate all year round.
Character and Taste
It has a surprisingly strong and spicy, almost earthy character. It has an intensive sweetness of complex aromas from caramel to chocolate, with a hint of sweet fruits.
