Rodel Church – mug with artwork of Margaret Maclean
St Clemen’s Church in Rodel, at the bottom of the Isle of Harris, is a beautifl medieval church, most likely from the end of fifteenths or early sixteenths century. It is dedicated to Pope Clemens I and was built for the Chiefs of the Macleods of Harris.
The church itself features a quite unusual and non-christian element, the small figure of a Sheela na gig. More information can be found at the website of the Sheela Na Gig Project
