What are subscription boxes and how does it work
When you subscribe to our Tea & Knitting Build Your Own Box, you will get a box with a ball of wool of your choice, 2 different teas and if you like, some biscuits or some chocolate. Especially in the winter and Christmas season you might find a bit of home baking from yours truly or some nice continental stuff. For our Tea & Book we have three different options for you to choose from. Please click >HERE< for more information. The Coffee & Knitting Box is quite similar to the Tea & Knitting Box. You can pick your coffee, get the wool and some munchies if you like.
The boxes will be sent our shortly after you put in your order. Depending on how many orders we have at that point, it might take a couple of days for us to get everything ready. There might always be a bit of a delay, as we are still only a small business and not a massive enterprise. We do not have many staff members and also have to run our day to day business at the shop. Our aim is to get the subscription boxes out within the first two weeks after you have placed the order.
Yes, you can. You have time to make changes like e.g. picking a different tea or changing the frequency until the 15th of every month. That gives us time to change everything over
That should be possible in the nearer future, as soon as I have added other items for subcription. If you wish to add a different tea on a regular base, you should find a box where it says “add to existing subscription” or something similar. If you tick that box, you should be able to add other items.
Prices start at £16.50 per month. You can look up the prices in the dropdown menu for the teas. This price includes the price for the wool, the tea, the biscuits and but not the postage.
If you have a problem regarding the subscription box, please get in touch via our contact form and I shall get back to you as soon as I can.
Some of our teas might contain gluten, milk products or other allergens. If you have any allergies, then please let us know, so that we won’t send you out teas that do contain such ingredients.
You will receive two pouches with 30g each, that will be enough for 30 cups of tea.
We are using the following brands for our sock yarn:Woolcraft Sock Yarn, 4 ply 75% Superwash Wool 25% NylonJames C Brett Funny Feetz with bamboo, 4 ply, 25% Polyamide, 50% Wool, 25% BambooOpal Sock Yarn, 4 ply, 75% Superwash Wool 25% NylonWest Yorkshire Spinners WYS, 4 ply, 75% Wool – 25% Nylon
Please note: there is a delay in getting Opal wool in at the moment, as this is imported from Germany. Brexit made it all very complicated and also the prices have gone up considerably because of the extra costs involved. If we are unable to add Opal wool to your box when it is due, we will replace it with a different yarn.
YES! You now can. Here is how it works
Adding the subscription
- Add a subscription product to the cart.
- Go to the Cart page.
- Click the checkbox This is a gift.
- Type in the recipient’s email address.
- Click Update Cart.
- Once the checkout form is complete, click Place Order
If the recipient does not have an account with us, when he or she is gifted the subscription, an account will be created for them. This is so they can manage their subscription.Account login details, as well as information about where they can manage their new subscription, is sent to the recipient via email.
The first time the new recipient logs into their account, they will be prompted to enter their shipping address and change their password.
The recipient is able to view and manage the subscription they received via the My Account > View Subscription page.Importantly, when visiting the View Subscription page, the recipient will not see any product prices or billing information.
The View Subscription page for a purchaser, and non-gifted subscription, displays all the orders related to that subscription, with details on the amount of those orders. In order to provide a level of privacy between purchaser and recipient and to make sure recipients cannot see prices for the products purchased for them, recipients cannot visit the subscription’s related orders pages. The parent order will also be hidden, as that order could contain information about other products purchased in the original order not related to the recipient.
Once an order with a subscription gift is placed, customers are given an overview of their order. Here the purchaser can see which products in their order have been purchased and for whom.
